Family Sponsorship

We want you to succeed in Canada.

As a Canadian permanent resident or citizen, you can sponsor your relatives for permanent residency, taking on financial responsibility for them upon arrival. The Canadian government’s Family Class Sponsorship program is one of the most generous in the world, allowing you to sponsor spouses, common-law partners, dependent children, parents, grandparents, and certain other relatives under specific conditions. To qualify as a sponsor, you must be at least 18 years old, possess Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, and commit to financially supporting your sponsored relatives for the required period. Canadian citizens living abroad can also sponsor relatives if they intend to return to Canada. Sponsorship involves signing an agreement with Citizenship and Immigration Canada and repaying any social assistance provided to the sponsored individual. This program reflects Canada’s commitment to welcoming newcomers and fostering economic success while enabling families to reunite and build prosperous lives together.

At SafeImm, we can assist you with a wide range of immigration programs, including:

Parents Sponsorship

The Parents Sponsorship Canada program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to bring their parents and grandparents to Canada, granting them permanent residency with the potential for Canadian citizenship. To be eligible, the sponsor must be at least 18 years old, meet specific income requirements, and be able to provide for their parents or grandparents’ needs. Relatives must undergo criminal background checks and medical examinations. New permanent residents must wait three years before sponsoring. A co-signer can be added to meet financial requirements. Interested applicants must complete an online submission form and may be randomly selected to proceed with the application. Parents and grandparents can also apply for the Super Visa for temporary residence to visit their relatives.

Spousal Sponsorship

The Canadian government prioritizes family reunification, offering newcomers the chance to build successful lives. Spousal sponsorship allows your spouse or common-law partner to move to Canada and obtain permanent residency. Both the sponsor, who must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and the sponsored person must meet specific criteria. The relationship must be spousal, common-law, or conjugal, and the sponsor must be financially responsible for their partner for three years. Applicants must ensure their relationship is genuine, as fraud can lead to loss of residency. Canada offers outland and inland sponsorship options, and same-sex partners are also eligible. Consulting an immigration expert is advised to navigate the process smoothly.

Children and Relatives

The Canada Family Sponsorship Program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their children or close relatives to join them in Canada. This program helps families reunite and build a life together. Sponsors must meet specific financial and eligibility requirements to support their sponsored relatives, ensuring they have the resources to care for them. Sponsored individuals can apply for permanent residency, allowing them to live, work, and study in Canada. The program covers various family members, including dependent children.
